With the introduction of the Automated Election System (AES) in the past three elections, Democracy Watch believes that the nation had taken great strides towards preventing traditional modes of cheating during the era of manual elections.
DON’T CHANGE THE RULES, JUST FINISH COUNTING VP VOTES
Fairness would dictate that a review of the votes being questioned should be made on the same set of rules and standards implemented during the 2016 National Elections. Changing the rules makes no sense and even insinuates that the votes received by all elected officials, from the President to local officials, specially those closely contested positions should be recounted. All this does is to add another propaganda sound bite to claim there was cheating in the VP race.
Just finish counting the votes and get this over with.
