As an organization that strives to cultivate political awareness and continuous civic engagement through our advocacy, Democracy Watch Philippines organized a voter education and information campaign in the past year to educate the youth and other stakeholders through our partnership with the COMELEC and the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
Despite the apparent success of the 2016 Philippine Elections, credibility issues over the automated elections continue to linger. Consequently, several observers still raise questions on the results of the elections.
To hopefully answer these issues, Stratbase Albert Del Rosario Institute (ADRi), together with Democracy Watch, organized earlier today a briefing forum on the 2016 elections. Its resource speaker, Ms. Ana Maria Tabunda, Chief Research Fellow of Pulse Asia presented the survey results on the credibility of the 2016 elections.
The briefing forum was be presided by Dr. Francisco Magno, Trustee of ADRi, who is likewise the Executive Director of the De La Salle University’s Robredo Institute of Governance and President of the Philippine Political Science Association.
